22 COVID-19 infections have been found in Chulalongkorn University’s (CU) Bangkok campus, most among university staff, while the virus was found on the surfaces of finger and facial scanners, according to the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA).

437 people in Suan Luang Market, a popular place for CU staff and students, have been tested, and no additional infections were identified.

The BMA first reported 13 infected cases on the CU campus on February 9th, one of whom is a frequent visitor to the dormitory and another 12 are university staff.

There are 230 additional people considered to be at high-risk.

The BMA also tested 20 commonly touched surfaces and found coronavirus on the finger and face scanners used by security guards.
