Anti-government protesters on Saturday rallied at the Democracy Monument which they later wrapped with a huge cloth banner carrying messages denouncing the Prayut government.

The wrapping of the monument capped an evening long demonstrations by three pro-democracy groups calling for political changes. They repeated their calls for Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha to resign, a new constitution to be adopted and the monarchy to be reformed.

One of the protest groups, calling itself “Bad Students”, took to the streets in front of the Education Ministry in the afternoon to reiterate their demand for an education reform.  Their highlight was a mock cremation of Education Minister Nataphol Teepsuwan who was accused of failing to heed their demands.

The young protesters later joined the other two protest groups, “Free Women” and “Mob Fest”, at the Democracy Monument.

The protesters rallied at the monument into the night during which they wrapped it with a huge cloth banner bearing denunciations of the government.
