PM attends funerals of victims of Nong Bua Lam Phu atrocity
Royally-sponsored cremations took place today, at three temples in Na Klang district of Nong Bua Lam Phu province, for the victims of last Thursday’s mass murders at the childcare centre. Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha and two deputy prime ministers attended the ceremonies.

Thai police seize fake US dollar banknotes worth 34-million baht in Nonthaburi
Thai police seized counterfeit US banknotes, with a face value of about 34 million baht, and arrested two suspects in Nonthaburi yesterday, in a joint operation by police from the Technology Crime Suppression Division and the US secret service attached to the US Embassy in Bangkok.Counterfeiting currencies is considered a serious crime and is subject to 10-20 years in prison on conviction.
Thai Cabinet approves Andaman International Medical Hub project in Phuket
The Thai cabinet has approved a project to build an international medical hub in Phuket, at an estimated cost of about five billion baht. The project is expected to help Thailand to become a medical hub and medical tourism centre for the region, in line with the government’s 20-year national strategy.
Riverside residents in Bangkok prepare for high tide overflows on Tuesday night
People living in communities along the Chao Phraya River in Bangkok, which are not protected by flood walls, have been advised to move their valuables to higher ground, ahead of the high tide tonight. Overflows from the Chao Phraya and nearby rivers are flooding many areas in Nonthaburi, Ayutthaya, Sing Buri, Ang Thong and Uthai Thani provinces.
