Move Forward party’s 32 MPs-elect for Bangkok, led by party leader Pita Limjaroenrat, met Bangkok Governor Chadchart Sittipunt and his staff today (Tuesday) to discuss ways and methods of cooperation, between the future government and the city administration, in addressing all the pressing problems for the benefit of city dwellers.

The problems raised during the meeting included PM2.5 dust pollution, the planned relocation of the Khlong Toei port to reduce traffic congestion, the city’s traffic light system, a tax increase on unused commercial land and a single ticket system for bus services.

Pita told the meeting that the Move Forward party intends to work seamlessly with the city’s administration to address unresolved problems and to deal with new challenges which may arise in the future.

Governor Chadchart, meanwhile, said the visit to City Hall by Pita and his Bangkok MPs-elect marks an important first step in cooperation between the new administration and the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration.
