“During the uprising I was among the student demonstrators moving out of the Thammasat campus.  I mustered my courage to stand up right in the middle of the Democracy Monument to call for an end to the shooting (by security forces), a resignation of the government, and a new constitution. The whole thing began with a demand for a constitution, short of calling for an end to dictatorship. But at the point, they all came together.  What happened was the first chapter of political history, the power of young people.  If people are united, they can bring about change.  Democracy may not solve every problem, but it opens the door for people in distress to have their rights and voices.  This is where it is important.  When we took to the streets back then our goal was clear.  But quarreling on-line is endless. We need voice of reason. If you want to rally the masses, being united is important.”
