Air quality in and around Bangkok is worse today than yesterday, with 75 areas suffering high levels of PM2.5 dust in the atmosphere, compared to 24 areas yesterday, according the Department of Pollution Control.

In Bangkok alone, 67 areas have excessive airborne pollution. Nong Khaem district is the worst affected, with PM2.5 measured at 56.7μg, compared to the standard threshold of 37.5μg.

Six areas around Bangkok have high levels of PM2.5, the worst being recorded in Pak Kret district of Nonthaburi, at 71μg.
