The Vietnamese Embassy in Thailand will continue working closely with Thai authorities throughout the investigation into the deaths of six foreign nationals, including four Vietnamese, who were found dead in a five-star hotel in Bangkok yesterday.

Vietnamese Ambassador to Bangkok Pham Viet Hung said his embassy will support the families of the slain Vietnamese nationals. It will cooperate to ensure a swift and effective investigation, according to Vietnam Plus online.

Six foreign nationals, including four Vietnamese, were found dead in the hotel in the Pathum Wan district of Bangkok.

According to the online, the ambassador said his embassy is working closely with Thai authorities and relevant units of the Vietnamese Foreign Ministry to identify the victims, provide necessary support for their families, and adopt any necessary citizen protection measures. The ambassador and his staff visited the hotel last night to see the situation firsthand.

He said the embassy will work with Vietnam’s immigration department to verify the identities of the four Vietnamese victims based on passport information.

Once confirmed, they will notify their families and assist them in completing the necessary procedures to repatriate the remains as soon as Thai authorities release them, he said.

The envoy appreciates the prompt response by Thai Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin and high-ranking Thai police officials, who were present at the scene.
