The Voice Foundation is seeking new homes for 28 dogs it has rescued from a house in the Klong Samwa district. Their original owner was recently found dead.

The foundation has named each dog after a province in Thailand, which has caught the public’s attention. It is believed that this naming technique was used due to large number of dogs in the group.

Other cats and dogs at the foundation, waiting for adoption by new owners, have a wide variety of names, such as ‘Sanny’, ‘Mee Tang’, ‘Saifon’ and ‘Dokmai’.

The foundation’s Facebook page, which features pictures of the 28 small sized dogs, has attracted many people interested in adopting them.

The deceased owner, identified only as 62-year-old ‘Attapol’, was found dead last Friday in his home where he lived alone with his dogs. He is believed to have passed away at least a week ago.

A neighbour alerted the emergency services after noticing that Attapol had not been seen leaving his house for a while, which he usually did every day, and his car remained parked in front of the house.

Attapol’s body was found lying face down on his bed on the second floor, with no signs of assault. Police believe that he died of natural causes.
