The Constitutional Court today set July 24 at 9.30am for its next deliberation in a case in which a group of senators is seeking the removal of incumbent Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin.

In a press statement, the Constitutional Court revealed today that its judges had discussed the senators’ petition and had ruled that more information and evidence were needed for the deliberation.

The senators filed a petition against Srettha in early May, alleging that the appointment of Phichit Chuenban as the PM’s Office Minister breached the Constitution, as he was sentenced to six months in prison, without suspension, on a bribery conviction in the “snack box” scandal over a decade ago.
