The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) has opened hot lines for people in Bangkok infected with COVID-19, or who are at risk of becoming infected, so they can seek consultations with experts, said Bangkok Governor Aswin Kwanmuang on Monday.
City Hall has also made available online COVID-19 risk assessment forms, on which anyone who is worried about contracting the virus can scan the QR code and complete the form with information about their health or symptoms.
Governor Aswin said that the assessment forms were designed by a medical team, in cooperation with city officials, and they are similar to the forms actually used in hospitals to investigate those at high-risk.
Doctors will assess the information provided in the forms and separate them into four groups, namely the no risk or green group, the monitor or yellow group, the risk or orange group and the suspected infection or red group.
Once classified as at risk, city officials will contact the individual in question and arrange an appointment for them to visit their nearest hospital, for free swab tests, and to reduce the risk of the spread of the virus, said the Governor, adding that all the information will be treated as confidential.
Besides the Disease Control Department’s 1422 hotline, City Hall has opened two hotlines, 1646 and 1669, for people to call for consultations, in addition to City Hall’s Health Office’s phone numbers 094-386 0051 and 082-001-6373.
