The Palang Pracharath party hosted a dinner party for all coalition parties at the Nai Lert Park’s Glass House on Monday night – their third ‘reunion’ over dinner.

The host was represented by Thammanat Prompao, the secretary general of the Palang Pracharath party and Pol Gen Patcharawat Wongsuwan, the advisory chief to party leader, General Prawit Wongsuwan, who was absent.

Other guests included Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin, Pheu Thai Party สeader Paetongtarn Shinawatra and Phumtham Wechayachai, the deputy leader, Bhumjaithai Party Leader Anutin Charnvirakul, United Thai Nation Secretary general Akanat Promphan and Chart Thai Pattana Leader Varawut Silpa-archa.

Paetongtarn said the atmosphere was very cordial, adding that the food was delicious and it was a lot of fun.

Asked about her father, former prime minister Thaksin, who will complete his six-month parole in August, she said his experience and vision could be utilised for the good of the people and the government.

Thammanat, meanwhile, said the reunion was intended to send a message that the coalition parties remain united.

Anutin played down the conflict over the cannabis issue, between his party and Pheu Thai, as a minor issue which will not adversely impact the coalition government.
