Temperatures in Thailand’s north-eastern, northern, eastern and central regions, including Bangkok and its vicinity, are forecast drop by another 1-6oC tomorrow, as a result of a strong cold front which is now covering the regions.

The Meteorological Department reported today that the temperature in and around Bangkok and in eastern provinces will dip by 1-4oC and by 4-6oC in the north-east in the next 24 hours. The whole country can expect some windy conditions.

Meanwhile, more rain is forecast for the south, with isolated heavy downpours in the extreme south, as a result of the intensifying north-easterly monsoon. People living near waterways and near mountainous bases are advised to prepare for possible overflows and flash floods.

Those living along the south eastern coast are also warned of the danger of storm surges, due to strong winds and high waves in the Gulf of Thailand. Small vessels are advised to remain ashore until this Saturday, due to rough seas in the Gulf.

Minimum temperatures in northern and north-eastern provinces are expected to be between 13-19oC tomorrow. The central region can expect a drop to 18-21oC tomorrow and to 22-25oC in and around Bangkok.
