Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-o-cha will be inoculated with the AstraZeneca vaccine tomorrow (Tuesday), after the sudden postponement on Friday due to concerns over blood clots post vaccination.

A subsequent investigation has shown that there is no connection between the vaccine and blood clots.

A well-known virologist, Dr. Yong Poovorawan, will be vaccinating the prime minister at government house tomorrow around 8.30am.

Reporters will not be allowed into the venue, but the prime minister’s vaccination process will be streamed live on Thai Ku Fah’s Facebook page, which is the Thai government’s official page.

Meanwhile, Public Health Minister Anutin Charnvirakul posted on his Facebook today that mass inoculation, using the AstraZeneca vaccine, will begin next week, while another 800,000 doses of Sinovac vaccines will arrive this Saturday (March 20th).
