His Majesty the King has granted the official name “Nakkhara Phiphat” to the Mass Rapid Transit’s (MRT) Yellow Line, which means prosperity of the city, according to an MRT statement.
At 30.4km, the Yellow Line is an elevated straddle-type monorail system and has been operating since July last year.
The route starts at the Ratchada-Lat Phrao intersection and heads along Lat Phrao and Srinagarindra roads, ending at Samrong, with interchanges for the Grey and Orange lines (both still under construction) and the Airport Rail link en route.
