These are some of the children from the Yommarat Railway community, one of many poor communities hidden in Bangkok. Their living conditions are forcing them to work illegally. Selling flower garlands at road intersections is one example.

Many of them have no choice, apart from saving that small amount of money and living off donations, to survive during the pandemic, while families have almost no income.

Apart from being at high-risk of getting infected with COVID-19, due to their living conditions, according to the Foundation for The Better Life of Children, the pandemic highlights the underlying problems among children in dense and poor communities.
