The Empowerment for Persons with Disabilities Fund has increased financial support for house repairs and rent for people with disabilities, said Social Development and Human Security Minister Varawut Silpa-archa today.
This decision was made during the Fund’s meeting on December 27, 2023.
Varawut stated that the subsidy for house repairs will be raised from Bt30,000 per person to Bt40,000. Additionally, the house rent support will increase from Bt1,700 per month for up to two months to Bt3k for a maximum of six months.
Varawut emphasised that this increase will help alleviate financial burdens and contribute to improving the quality of life for people with disabilities.
