Kaeng Krachan National Park has temporarily closed access to Pala-u waterfall in Prachuap Khiri Khan province today for safety reasons, due to heavy rain and possible flash flooding.

The amount of water passing over the waterfall has increased and the flow has become stronger in the past few days.

Moreover, the conditions of the trails to the waterfall are deteriorating and could be dangerous for tourists.

Kaeng Krachan National Park is the largest park in Thailand and straddles Prachuap Khiri Khan and Phetchaburi provinces.

The Kaeng Krachan Forest Complex was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2021.
