The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Thailand has exceeded 1,000, since the pathogen was first detected in the country in January, with 111 new cases being reported today by the Ministry of Public Health.

The official number of infections in the country is, at the time of the report, 1,045, as the ministry predicts an exponential rise in new infections nationwide in the near future.
